The HSC Pediatric Center offers unique value and benefits for the patient and family, as well as for health care professionals and payors.
Of particular importance are our low infection rates and stellar rehabilitation outcomes. If you're looking for a lower level of care to complete an acute stay, such as weaning from a vent, wound care, palliative care, or post burn management by Occupational and Physical Therapy teams known for positive outcomes, The HSC Pediatric Center is the ideal setting for child and family. We are committed to training parents and families to handle post-ICU challenges. Fully furnished and equipped family apartments are available on-site for parent/caregiver education in a comfortable, supportive home-like environment.
HSC has expertise with highly specialized admissions - for kids who need continued specialized care before returning home, but outside of the acute setting. HSC is the facility to turn to for challenging intermediate care. We bridge the gap between acute care and home, and we offer many programs and services to make the transition successful. Our RN ratio is an outstanding 3:1, 5:1 to patients.
Payors will especially appreciate our favorable costs and reduced lengths of stay. HSC is less costly than 24-hour home health RN coverage.
